Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cornelio Villegas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Jeremias Sandalio fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cavaliers FC's protests and gave Jeremias Sandalio a yellow card for diving instead. Jeremias Sandalio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Mikeldi to make the kick off. The supporters of Cavaliers FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Villegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of play. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Desiderio Rami replaced Teofilo Mikeldi. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Desiderio Rami sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severo Tohias kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Carmelo Sagrario hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Arano in the 80th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Cornelio Villegas threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Rami in the 90th minute of the match.
