Antal Fodor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 11th minute of play. Bill Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Topsail was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samet Yanık to maneuver through the defense. Samet Yanık kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Topsail's goalie and right to Faustino Almeida. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Topsail's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ren Fan Yu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 39th minute of play. Bill Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 42nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Viriato Moura sped through Topsail's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bill Carmichael. Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ren Fan Yu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Fodor went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Topsail's Jano Maciel in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. Bill Carmichael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvin Diggs kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Bill Carmichael made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. After 94 played minutes Topsail got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Bălcescu. With a little luck, Topsail's Bill Carmichael got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 96th minute of the match.
