After 5 played minutes, Switzerland's Rodrigo von Känel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Stanca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Switzerland reached it. Emanuel Movileanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Achimescu. Switzerland's Fridolin Neumeister managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Basarab Achimescu in the 16 minute of the game. After some careless play in the -BZF- Barca de Buzau defense, Samuele Kunz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Stanca. The -BZF- Barca de Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Stanca should have stopped the shot. After 45 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Levi von Herren. In the 46th minute, Grigore Biriș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuele Kunz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Movileanu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Șora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurel Ionașcu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some careless play in the Switzerland defense, Manuel Șora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hias Nüssli. The Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hias Nüssli should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Emanuel Movileanu got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes, Manuel Șora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Barca de Buzau and the Switzerland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Șora kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of -BZF- Barca de Buzau booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Siegmund didn't get a good kick on the ball. -BZF- Barca de Buzau made a substitution. Anton Otețea replaced Aurel Ionașcu. 85 minutes in the game Anton Otețea did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Manuel Șora. In the 86th minute, Manuel Șora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hias Nüssli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Anton Otețea might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hias Nüssli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anton Otețea ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Anton Otețea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Șora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hias Nüssli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Otețea in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. -BZF- Barca de Buzau were victorious despite being under pressure from Switzerland for much of the match.
