Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antal Valentin kicked off to start the match. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvīns van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Fodor Daniel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Hungary booed when FC Alytus United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Michael Bremming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boros Benedek hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match, Daavid Šembera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. FC Alytus United's Edvīns van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 29th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarūnas Kuliešius made a great header on FC Alytus United's corner, it was just that Hungary's Fodor Daniel managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarūnas Kuliešius made a kick off. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Antunes's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, FC Alytus United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Balazs Lajoss short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Edvīns van der Sar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes FC Alytus United got a freekick which was hit by Deividas Aukštakis. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Alytus United getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Karl-Michael Bremming hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Alytus United's goalkeeper Edvīns van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Edvīns van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Daavid Šembera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Boros Benedek got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 95th minute of play. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
