Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamzah Al Motar to make the kick off. With a little luck, Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Bram Kiewit got control of the ball when Dian Hatala tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Al Yarmouk Kuwait defense, Dian Hatala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bram Kiewit. The Al Yarmouk Kuwait fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bram Kiewit should have stopped the shot. Mortada Bo Shehri hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Bram Kiewit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dian Hatala, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Dian Hatala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bram Kiewit having to make a save. In the 96th minute of the match, Dian Hatala got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bram Kiewit was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
