The audience was convinced that Grzegorz Bierfass's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelnasser Mohand was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 7th minute Grzegorz Bierfass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelnasser Mohand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Rimas Ciparis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Chillán's supporters rose to their feet, but Rimas Ciparis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelnasser Mohand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Bierfass. Zhuo Xuan Yu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larkins Potter, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Grzegorz Bierfass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wara's goalkeeper Abdelnasser Mohand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match Inter de Chillán got a corner. Wara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobías Izamit ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grzegorz Bierfass in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelnasser Mohand saved Wara from getting behind. Zhuo Xuan Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larkins Potter in the 37th minute of play. Grzegorz Bierfass recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Grzegorz Bierfass managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grzegorz Bierfass was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Wara getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jēkabs Pirtslāva hit a great ball. Jēkabs Pirtslāva hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Larkins Potter was the one to do the kick off. Martin Buch kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Larkins Potter struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Zhuo Xuan Yu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wara. In the 56th minute Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner. Despite this Abdelnasser Mohand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 59th minute Grzegorz Bierfass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelnasser Mohand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Grzegorz Bierfass sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelnasser Mohand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Jēkabs Pirtslāva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Rickard Erserman replaced Rimas Ciparis. Wara's Abdelnasser Mohand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Araujo in the 96th minute of play. After 98 minutes Wara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tobías Izamit who took care of the corner kick. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abdelnasser Mohand in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
