Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Club Deportivo Álvarez's Habeeb Shevchenko started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 10th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalkeeper Apolo Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Munio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Apolo Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Miguel Ángel Hvalica sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Habeeb Shevchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Munio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute of play forced Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalkeeper Apolo Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Oihan kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Apolo Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 38th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Lohitzun in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Club Deportivo Álvarez got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Ángel Hvalica ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Belgium's goalie and right to Alexis Santos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Belgium's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apolo Munio. Apolo Munio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 61 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Clocheret. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Apolo Munio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Álvarez from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Munio having to make a save. In the 75th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Can Ocakçı to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Apolo Munio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habeeb Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Apolo Munio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 80th minute. If Adrian Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apolo Munio. Edward Vanderstraeten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 87 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Habeeb Shevchenko came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to fire away a dangerous shot which Apolo Munio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Habeeb Shevchenko went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score.
