The crowd rose to their feet as Paco Everett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilija Skugor. That made the score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlisle Fenwick made a kick off. Carlisle Fenwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Boroondara Milan fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arty Shearn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Everett in the 70th minute of the match. Arty Shearn scored 7-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Carlisle Fenwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Carlisle Fenwick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlisle Fenwick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Drake Sobczak struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ilija Skugor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boroondara Milan. 83 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's Rusty Reynolds sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilija Skugor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match Boroondara Milan got a corner. Croatia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ned Mills ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ned Mills made a great header on Boroondara Milan's corner, it was just that Croatia's Ilija Skugor managed to reach the ball for a save. Ned Mills succeeded in the game's 84th minute to get real power on a long shot . Croatia's Ilija Skugor hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 9-0! Patrik Terzic hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ned Mills, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Martin Bosak got a free kick in the 89th minute. The Boroondara Milan fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Boroondara Milan's Carlisle Fenwick looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Damir Pongrac got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Carlisle Fenwick got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ilija Skugor handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jason Sperling took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Boroondara Milan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
