In the last second Arnout Reekers throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nemesio Tximitx in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Manuel Cruz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. If Nemesio Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 40th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Serafin Cesaro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Serafin Cesaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Edgardo Bauza kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Gust Ennemans kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Fernando Bot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Christian Bergqvist was substituted for Juan Manuel Cruz. After 70 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Bot who took care of the corner kick. 73 minutes into the match, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Serafin Cesaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
