The audience thought a goal was coming when Hulk Fenomeno got free with Tommy Kahn in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 minutes, Genko Balevski made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
