Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Lars Meesters scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Prior, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christoffer Blomqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, MILLONARIOS FC's Christoffer Blomqvist made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Christoffer Blomqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MILLONARIOS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Blomqvist in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoffer Blomqvist got free with Arnout Reekers in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christoffer Blomqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Christoffer Blomqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoffer Blomqvist got free with Arnout Reekers in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 43rd minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christoffer Blomqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Blomqvist in the 55th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Jauregui was slow to take the kick. During this time MILLONARIOS FC's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Angelo Prior in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Jauregui kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Angelo Prior acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gust Ennemans. Angelo Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Prior despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Angelo Prior made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Blomqvist in the 75th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. With a little luck, MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Leonel Cantera fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MILLONARIOS FC's protests and gave Leonel Cantera a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Netherlands booed when MILLONARIOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Cantera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Cantera kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 88th minute. Netherlands's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! MILLONARIOS FC made a substitution. Juan Corredor replaced Christoffer Blomqvist. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Kloots, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
