CF Eleven Lions 2007's Claudio Mele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when CF Eleven Lions 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Mele was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Alberto Gaviño got free with Arnout Reekers in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute CF Eleven Lions 2007 were awarded a corner. Savier Milroy went to the cornerflag to take it. Claudio Mele came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Mele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claudio Mele. The goal made the score 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Claudio Mele in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Claudio Mele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Ivo Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Claudio Mele, passed just outside the right post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivo Cerezo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of CF Eleven Lions 2007 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. CF Eleven Lions 2007's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Claudio Mele, making the score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 92nd minute. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmacio Blai in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savier Milroy in the 97th minute of the match. The CF Eleven Lions 2007 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
