With a little luck, MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém got control of the ball when Andres Firmin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to MC ESPANHOL getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Aldo Giovannelli hit a great ball. Acratas Unidos's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 36th minute of the game, when Enrique Theobald after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of MC ESPANHOL's goal. Enrique Theobald was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Acratas Unidos's Carlitos Parodi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Evenhuis in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthias Vall to make the kick off. Carlitos Parodi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Serpa in the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Vall came free, but Teófilo Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MC ESPANHOL's zone, Matthias Vall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teófilo Belém came out of the goal and Matthias Vall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Acratas Unidos's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Sourpis came free, but Carlitos Parodi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlitos Parodi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Palma in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, João Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MC ESPANHOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acratas Unidos the free kick.
