The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, FC NILS's Zebastian Palmkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Figueroa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 18 minutes, Zebastian Palmkvist made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Fenix's Celso Figueroa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Figueroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pol Putov, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the match FC NILS got a corner. Club Atletico Fenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After the first half FC NILS were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zebastian Palmkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Zebastian Palmkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Figueroa was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Club Atletico Fenix's Celso Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Palmkvist in the 59th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Pol Putov took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Celso Figueroa to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zebastian Palmkvist in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Figueroa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Pol Putov came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FC NILS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pol Putov couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Boberg in the 81st minute of play forced Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Celso Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Club Atletico Fenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Ferdi Kadıoğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celso Figueroa. Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Americo Portas hit a great ball. When the match was over FC NILS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atletico Fenix throughout the match.
