Waldo Helton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo McCormick in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 13th minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scotty Dietz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldo Helton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Dave Paris made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Paris got free with Tommy Kahn in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo McCormick in the 32nd minute of play. Reinaldo McCormick succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Paris got free with Tommy Kahn in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Reinaldo McCormick took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Janik Vogt hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Mickey Velasco sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Tommy Kahn threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mickey Velasco this time. Dillon Galindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reinaldo McCormick's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo McCormick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Helton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Paris might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Paris ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldo Helton was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldo Helton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo McCormick in the 64th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Flame Throwers's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Waldo Helton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Waldo Helton made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Scotty Dietz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flame Throwers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Flame Throwers had played much better football throughout.
