With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Julien Staffelbach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. In the 23rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kees Mooiweer made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gijsbert ter Kruimer however managed to control. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 27th minute of play. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Roberto Eztebe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Roberto Eztebe. Roberto Eztebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gabriel Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Roberto Eztebe. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 52nd minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dawid Beckham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 59th minute of the match. Dawid Beckham took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 76th minute of the match. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Wim Wilmes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Roberto Eztebe did a great save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoff Stocks in the 86th minute of play. Roberto Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Roberto Eztebe managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Netherlands's Wim Wilmes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Thiago Silva got a free kick in the 91st minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Eztebe. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 93 minutes Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Wim Wilmes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ.
