An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Eneto in the 24th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Deportivo Marplatense defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Bermund. The Deportivo Marplatense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Bermund should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Deportivo Marplatense could leave the field as winners, despite Hungary having more of the ball for most of the match.
