In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Luis Sánchez scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Narvaja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Luis Sánchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roque Narvaja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Luis Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Zhu Bin Kun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhu Bin Kun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Feliberto Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliberto Eyague was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Righi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Luis Sánchez in the 20th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ediberto Righi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhu Bin Kun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Adrián Guillermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Narvaja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Enrique, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, José Luis Sánchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Narvaja. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Luis Sánchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, lןןl La Coconeta's Ediberto Righi got control of the ball when Alejo Bermudo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Mandiyu booed when lןןl La Coconeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 47th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Deportivo Mandiyu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. lןןl La Coconeta were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Luis Sánchez to make the kick off. Pedro Benvido kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Pedro Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that José Luis Sánchez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roque Narvaja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Delfinos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Roque Narvaja to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. José Luis Sánchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramiro Enrique was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. lןןl La Coconeta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Roque Narvaja made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alejandro Cabrera sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Cabrera came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Enrique in the 75th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as lןןl La Coconeta's Alejandro Cabrera slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roque Narvaja. That made the score 0-3 after 79 minutes of play. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roberto Cherro was substituted for Zhu Bin Kun. Deportivo Mandiyu's Domingo Martxelin was substituted for Feliberto Eyague. The supporters of lןןl La Coconeta booed when Deportivo Mandiyu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roque Narvaja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josemir Lujambio in the 89th minute of the match. Roberto Cherro scored 1-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ediberto Righi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute Josemir Lujambio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Narvaja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The lןןl La Coconeta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing lןןl La Coconeta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
