Martin Palermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arif Ozan Oğuztan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Palermo in the 18th minute of play. Ruben Sánchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Laurendi in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Arrecifes got a corner. Magic is Back's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modesto Gipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Magic is Back booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magic is Back's Roland Schiavi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raul Vigil in the 31 minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Carlos Eufrasio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez. Ruben Sánchez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The wind increased when Cirilo Ritchie made the kick off in the second half. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Ritchie in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Ritchie in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Sánchez saved Magic is Back from getting behind. Roland Schiavi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Magic is Back's Rodolfo Arruabarrena was substituted for Roland Schiavi. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
