Eleuterio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Angelo Grabiel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Grabiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Eleuterio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 22nd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eleuterio Maureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Gabriel-Omar Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute River de Ramos Mejía were awarded a corner. Gianni Giammarino went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led River de Ramos Mejía's Alejo Maties to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Elliott Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Major Barna scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eleuterio Maureo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Eleuterio Maureo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Falcão in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Elliott Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Elliott Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albino Olayo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of River de Ramos Mejía booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vörös Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Elliott Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Eleuterio Maureo managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Hungary's Hegedus Henrik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 57 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Eleuterio Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleuterio Maureo made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Gabriel-Omar Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Maureo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Angelo Grabiel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. River de Ramos Mejía's Gabriel Eguntsenti was substituted for Elliott Falcão. River de Ramos Mejía's Marcelo Arias was substituted for Gianni Giammarino. River de Ramos Mejía's Alexis Silva was substituted for Albino Olayo. Celestino Eli kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celestino Eli was slow to take the kick. During this time River de Ramos Mejía's players had a chance to rest. Alejo Maties scored 3-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Hungary booed when River de Ramos Mejía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Maties didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Maties struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River de Ramos Mejía. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because River de Ramos Mejía had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
