Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Stanislao in the 48th minute of play.

Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Santos Sidro made a huge save. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Santos Sidro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Santos Sidro in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Sidro having to make a save. Santos Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute of play. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes Sacronas Futbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Lars Meesters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Santos Sidro made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santos Sidro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Sacronas Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gustaaf Groeneveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santos Sidro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute, Saul Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Kürşat Hamurcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Gustaaf Groeneveldt a yellow card for diving instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
