A wasted opportunity for Croatia. After 13 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Teo Gudelj. 15 minutes into the match, Quinito Rubio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nazario Dagora got free with Ilija Skugor in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sabino Peña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damir Pongrac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinito Rubio in the 23rd minute of play. Quinito Rubio took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 28th minute Toni Mauzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30th play minutes Quinito Rubio shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Ilija Skugor and just under the crossbar into goal. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nazario Dagora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, SuliMelilla's Casimiro Abascal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinito Rubio in the 41st minute of play. If Casimiro Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toni Mauzer to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Quinito Rubio sped through Croatia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casimiro Abascal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Quinito Rubio came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Mas in the 71st minute of play. Quinito Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Abascal in the 75th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Teo Gudelj hit a great ball. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazario Dagora in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Nazario Dagora came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinito Rubio, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Abascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quinito Rubio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Casimiro Abascal notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinito Rubio in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SuliMelilla fully deserved thier win.
