After 2 played minutes Walnut Grove got a freekick which was hit by Thanh Coffey. Vernon McBride didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Kullander went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. David Kullander might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vernon McBride. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Kullander ran back to his position shaking his head. Vernon McBride took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Ian Kilström made a precise shot to the right of Vernon McBride. Walnut Grove's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 18 minutes, David Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slavia Skattungbyn's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Kullander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vernon McBride came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Slavia Skattungbyn's Ian Kilström. But to his dismay, Ian Kilström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thanh Coffey charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanh Coffey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Slavia Skattungbyn booed when Walnut Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanh Coffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Rydberg charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörgen Rydberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Slavia Skattungbyn getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jörgen Rydberg hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Dante Cho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Kullander might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vernon McBride. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Kullander ran back to his position shaking his head. David Kullander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Kullander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Vernon McBride skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Walnut Grove's Darrel Teague got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Cho to make the kick off. When Slavia Skattungbyn's David Kullander in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Walnut Grove's goalie prevented a goal. The Slavia Skattungbyn fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Slavia Skattungbyn's Sören Löfgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kullander in the 66th minute of play forced Walnut Grove's goalkeeper Vernon McBride to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vernon McBride showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Kilström in the 67th minute of the match. Ian Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vernon McBride having to interfere. A collision led to Slavia Skattungbyn getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Magnus Skoglund hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Magnus Skoglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 minutes of play, Walnut Grove's Dalton Gabriel made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birger Hedman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Dustin Hemphill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Alvar Siöberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vernon McBride was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Birger Hedman made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Dalton Gabriel sent off a good shot on target. Slavia Skattungbyn's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
