But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marko Gustavsson couldn't finish the play. Micheal Hitchen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Mohammad, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute, Lars Olofsson made a precise shot to the right of Micheal Hitchen. Team Pogba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Lars Olofsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Micheal Hitchen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Olofsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Claes Ahlroht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Hitchen having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antony Hotte during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marko Gustavsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Micheal Hitchen having to make a save. Team Pogba's Ronny Furlong was substituted for Laurence Higson. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Micheal Hitchen made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Marko Gustavsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute of the match Newcastle United FC got a corner. Karl Rosendahl took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Micheal Hitchen. Micheal Hitchen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Micheal Hitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Newcastle United FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
