In the 4th minute, one of Atlético Mineiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Mineiro. Atlético Mineiro:s Fynn John showed great skill when he stopped Martin Larsson:s penalty. Linus Groth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Best in the 8th minute of the match. The corner ended in Antony Quaresma almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kajsatorpet's Linus Groth did a great save. Evert Bogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fynn John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Best took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Linus Groth. Linus Groth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 28th minute Olívio França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Groth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Bogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Mineiro were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Kajsatorpet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomé Brasil took the corner. Flávio Paraense hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Martin Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kajsatorpet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kajsatorpet's Evert Bogren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fynn John. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio França made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Best in the 50th minute of play forced Kajsatorpet's goalkeeper Linus Groth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linus Groth made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Olívio França sent off a good shot on target. After 55 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Best. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Petersson in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's Antony Quaresma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Linus Groth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Atlético Mineiro were awarded a corner. Tomé Brasil went to the cornerflag to take it. Atlético Mineiro's Olívio França got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When André Luís Best came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Atlético Mineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luís Best couldn't finish the play. Olívio França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Olívio França fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Mineiro's protests and gave Olívio França a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kajsatorpet booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fynn John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Larsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Martin Larsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 minutes Atlético Mineiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Larsson who took care of the corner kick. Linus Groth made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luís Best in the 89th minute. A collision led to Kajsatorpet getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vincent Kilstedt hit a great ball. Olívio França blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Linus Groth having to make a save. The Atlético Mineiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
