Dirar Rashid charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirar Rashid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dirar Rashid kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Enrique Cassaretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Líbano's goalie prevented a goal. Falah Waddah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falah Waddah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. George Forsyth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dirar Rashid in the 17th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, George Forsyth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. CD Municipal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Dirar Rashid scored to the left of an out of position George Forsyth, making the score, 1-1. In the 24th minute Dirar Rashid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mohammad Juwayn fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Líbano's protests and gave Mohammad Juwayn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Líbano getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mohammad Juwayn hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Líbano's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Falah Waddah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falah Waddah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 30th minute of play. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Miyaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Líbano's goalkeeper Falah Waddah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mohammad Juwayn was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Líbano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammad Juwayn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Akram Munahid got a very nice opportunity to score, but George Forsyth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Akram Munahid came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and George Forsyth could save by the left post. Dirar Rashid kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Cassaretto made a kick off. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Miyaz in the 52nd minute of play. Líbano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bashar Al Azra in the 53rd minute. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akram Munahid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Zlatan Molina. CD Municipal made a substitution. Ryota Miyagi replaced Enrique Cassaretto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bashar Al Azra in the 66th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Miyaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Forsyth having to interfere. Falah Waddah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryota Miyagi in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Akram Munahid notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of CD Municipal's George Forsyth. George Forsyth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute of the match, Oalo Dean got a very nice opportunity to score, but Falah Waddah was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Ali Miyaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Forsyth. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Miyaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Oalo Dean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Falah Waddah made a huge save. 90 minutes into the match, Líbano's goalkeeper Falah Waddah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryota Miyagi. 97 minutes into the game, Ryota Miyagi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falah Waddah. Ryota Miyagi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. The CD Municipal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Municipal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
