Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Fragoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Claudemiro Fragoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay. Xande Gay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Deivid Fantini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Fantini to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Deivid Fantini struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Mavericks. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xande Gay was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Xande Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of the match. Xande Gay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Wilmes's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes Sport Club Mavericks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Xande Gay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Conrado Sanches hit a great ball. Sport Club Mavericks's Jairo Bastos was substituted for Sílvio Luiz de Godoi. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Arantes came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Xande Gay in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xande Gay quite easily take care of the ball. Kees Mooiweer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Xande Gay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Sport Club Mavericks succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
