Serbia's Borjan Golubovic quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gaspar Celio made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bonifacio Cloyo immediately put the ball in play. Horacio Errapel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a huge save. After 22 minutes, Zivko Cvetkovic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serbia and the Vilo Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute Amador Rocendo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. If Drasko Rajkovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vilo Futbol Club's zone, Sreten Popovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Regis came out of the goal and Sreten Popovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Jovan Borisov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Errapel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zvezdan Nedeljkovic having to make a save. Israel Ixaka took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Horacio Errapel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Errapel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The corner led to Vilo Futbol Club's Honorio Neron getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Vilo Futbol Club's Israel Ixaka got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 54 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Sreten Popovic. Honorio Neron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gaspar Celio made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bonifacio Cloyo. Anastasio Goito charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anastasio Goito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anastasio Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Serbia's Sreten Popovic got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Errapel went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Errapel came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Horacio Errapel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Errapel in the 76th minute of the match. Serbia's attentive Borjan Golubovic managed to snatch the ball when Osvaldo Maties made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Serbia's Gavino Regis threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladeta Jovic, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vilo Futbol Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
