Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the game, Borjan Golubovic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serbia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suwon FC the free kick. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Suwon FC reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 김 홍 made a kick off. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0.
