Alex Lundkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 17th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Ahlrot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Påk, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Meadow Village's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Lundkvist came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Ahlrot in the 64th minute of play. Yves Dervaux struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Alex Lundkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. In the 69th match minute, Meadow Village was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Nordström to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alex Lundkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Evert Ahlrot took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Ahlrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Sander Dermaut. Meadow Village made a substitution. Kurt Almqvist replaced Frans Valrot. Sander Dermaut hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Evert Ahlrot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meadow Village's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Ahlrot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Evert Ahlrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Ahlrot in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
