A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Chris Nygaard hit a great ball. Severiano Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. In the 12th minute of the match Nascente do Leça got a corner. Denmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severiano Campelo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nascente do Leça's Severiano Campelo to fire away a dangerous shot which Keld Paulsen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severiano Campelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Chris Nygaard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederico Vilalobos. Nascente do Leça's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mathias Ludvigsen hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Cristiano Carrasqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Severiano Campelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When Severiano Campelo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Nascente do Leça fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Campelo couldn't finish the play. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Nascente do Leça's Severiano Campelo. But to his dismay, Severiano Campelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Severiano Campelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Severiano Campelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nascente do Leça's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Campelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nascente do Leça booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Kenn Skou threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nascente do Leça's Bengt Molander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Severiano Campelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. Severiano Campelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keld Paulsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Campelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Campelo in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Manuel Rangel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nascente do Leça and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severiano Campelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keld Paulsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Campelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Campelo in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Severiano Campelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nascente do Leça fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Campelo in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Kenn Skou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes, Nuno Bomba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nascente do Leça and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nascente do Leça getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Nuno Bomba hit a great ball. Nascente do Leça walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
