Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Leizarraga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Leizarraga in the 21st minute of play. Alexsandro Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 24th minute of play. Alp Egesel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Alp Egesel in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. In the 38th minute Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexsandro Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Alp Egesel kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo in the 44th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Infami di Canaus getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Iker Eguzki hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 65th minute of play forced Infami di Canaus's goalkeeper Alexsandro Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Ezequiel Leizarraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexsandro Godoi made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 73rd minute of play forced Infami di Canaus's goalkeeper Alexsandro Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Brânza in the 74th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Infami di Canaus's Comunardo Cerri was substituted for Mihail Brânza. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Leizarraga in the 86th minute of play. Comunardo Cerri took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 94 minutes of play, Infami di Canaus's Comunardo Cerri made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there!
