That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Serafin Charro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Tello AFC's Elpidio Remicio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jaime Villegas but with some difficulty. Higinio Eate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Higinio Eate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Beturian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Natal made in the 23rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Elpidio Remicio. In the 31st minute, one of Tello AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tello AFC. 37 minutes into the game, Freddy Villegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cavaliers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tello AFC the free kick. Cavaliers FC's Jaime Villegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Cavaliers FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Eate in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Beturian saved Tello AFC from getting behind. Baldomero Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Eate in the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Jaime Villegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Balendin. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Colas to strike the kick off in the second half. Baldomero Beturian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Eate in the 53rd minute of play. Baldomero Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Eate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Higinio Eate who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Baldomero Beturian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Higinio Eate blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Beturian having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Eate in the 59th minute of play forced Tello AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Charro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafin Charro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafin Charro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tello AFC's Delmar Tavio got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Serafin Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavaliers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Charro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Higinio Eate notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tello AFC's Baldomero Beturian. Baldomero Beturian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tello AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Beturian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Eate in the 82nd minute of the match. Baldomero Beturian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Eate's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Higinio Eate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Baldomero Beturian made a huge save. Cavaliers FC's Melquiades Jakue was substituted for Guaberto Abalos. Guaberto Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Cavaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Jenaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bas Ovando hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Cavaliers FC's Isidoro Ranolfo was substituted for Higinio Eate. Bas Ovando hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.

The Cavaliers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cavaliers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
