The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Ribeiro got free with Edmílson Veloso in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Adriano Ribeiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmílson Veloso. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
