Reconquistense FC made a substitution. Astor Ler replaced Jonathan Calvet. After 4 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Râmniceanu. Clodoveo Chinto's late challenge caught a Emerald's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clodoveo Chinto helped the player get up and apologised. Clodoveo Chinto hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Anacleto Norino took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Lobonț. Bogdan Lobonț dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Lucrețiu Dinulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Francisco Pelagius made a huge save. When Reconquistense FC's Lino Madeo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Emerald's goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes into the game, Emerald's Darius Olaru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Pelagius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ferdinand Condrea's late challenge caught a Reconquistense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinand Condrea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Condrea to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 29 in the game by Lucrețiu Dinulescu from a close distance when the talented Francisco Pelagius managed to make a qualified save. Reconquistense FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Reconquistense FC booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Râmniceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Reconquistense FC's Jonathan Olando got a free kick in the 41st minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Piţurcă to make the kick off. Astor Ler kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Astor Ler might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Lobonț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Astor Ler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Jonathan Olando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Emerald fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Emerald's Darius Olaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Francisco Pelagius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Dinulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Carioca to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes Emerald's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Prudencio Raulo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Prudencio Raulo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bogdan Lobonț quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Prudencio Raulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bogdan Lobonț made a huge save. Francisco Pelagius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 86th minute of play. If Jonathan Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerald's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Asur in the 95th minute of play.

The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Emerald were victorious despite being under pressure from Reconquistense FC for much of the match.
