The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Botond Détári made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of play. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 12 minutes FC Olad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Olad's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Botond Détári came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Olad's Botond Détári played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Olad's goalkeeper Botond Détári, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. András Győrfi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Antal Valentin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Botond Détári showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aladár Takács stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Béla Czene kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hungary players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Olad.
