In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Average Joes's goalkeeper Linus Svanström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Average Joes's Hampus Johansson in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montevideo's goalie prevented a goal. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hampus Johansson in the 6th minute of play. A hard shot 8 in the game by Leandro Brito from a close distance when the talented Linus Svanström managed to make a qualified save. Average Joes's players were relieved. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hampus Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Leandro Brito put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Linus Svanström. 15 minutes into the match, Pål Askestät had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Timofeev. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pål Askestät was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Leandro Britos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Linus Svanström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 25 minutes of play, Montevideo's Leandro Brito made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Linus Svanström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hampus Johansson in the 27th minute of the match. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Johansson in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Pål Askestät came free, but Oleg Timofeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hampus Johansson in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oleg Timofeev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Finnman in the 32nd minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Finnman, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A nice corner shot did that Agostinho Salgado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Linus Svanström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mattias Finnman charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Finnman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Mattias Finnman got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jano Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Linus Svanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Finnman in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Arthur Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 67 minutes of play, Average Joes's Hampus Johansson made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Askestät got free with Oleg Timofeev in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Hampus Johansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Timofeev. In the 77th minute, Jano Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute Jo Blanchaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Timofeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Jo Blanchaert got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilhelm Blanck during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Wilhelm Blanck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Agostinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo from getting a goal against them. Hampus Johansson scored 2-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oleg Timofeev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
Average Joes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
