Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antal Valentin kicked off to start the match. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ximenes Castilla came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepe Santoro came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Ximenes Castilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximenes Castilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Rito got free with Fodor Daniel in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Hungary booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ximenes Castilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pepe Santoro made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. When Independiente's Ainar Põld in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Pepe Santoro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independiente made a substitution. Emánuel Borsó replaced Ainar Põld. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pepe Santoro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bakos Endre hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emánuel Borsó in the 80th minute of play. Balazs Lajos kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 84thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Independiente's keeper Pepe Santoro was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pepe Santoro. Pepe Santoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hungary played a much better game than Independiente and deserved their victory. The Independiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
