After 8 minutes of play, Romania's Sanda Cutov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urbano Saturnin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urbano Saturnin came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Romania's Alex Serban. But to his dismay, Alex Serban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Serban in the 15th minute of play forced Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Urbano Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierrot Leenpoels in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sao Brasola's Elia Di Vincenzo got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Romania booed when Sao Brasola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Luongo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Saturnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costica Vladimiri in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Sao Brasola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Olaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Alex Serban heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Urbano Saturnin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costica Vladimiri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Alex Serban almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sao Brasola's Urbano Saturnin did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Serban in the 36th minute of play forced Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Urbano Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Saturnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasvan Cristescu in the 39th minute of the match. Sao Brasola's Urbano Saturnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costica Vladimiri in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Romania were awarded a corner. Adam Olaru went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sao Brasola's goalie and right to Vasile Ciumak. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sao Brasola's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After the first half Romania were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Olaru to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Elia Di Vincenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute of the match, Costica Vladimiri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Urbano Saturnin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 59th minute, Camillo Galeone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camillo Galeone hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Stinga came free, but Urbano Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Costica Vladimiri came free, but Urbano Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Romania's Costica Vladimiri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urbano Saturnin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Romania made a substitution. Alexandru Pangratiu replaced Alex Serban. 73 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Erlin Håland came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Elia Di Vincenzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao Brasola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elia Di Vincenzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Sanda Cutov went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Romania's Cosmin Barbulescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Urbano Saturnin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elia Di Vincenzo in the 82nd minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elia Di Vincenzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romania's Octavian Vaduva got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urbano Saturnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stinga in the 89th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Stinga in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urbano Saturnin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded Romania left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sao Brasola.
