Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) England's Kyle Cox started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Penha in the 4th minute of the match. Khalid Kennedy came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Clube Recife's Robby Woody. But to his dismay, Robby Woody quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Lampard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Cox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Percy Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 24th minute of the match. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Fernandez having to interfere. Percy Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Macdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Issac Dawson in the 33rd minute of play forced Sport Clube Recife's goalkeeper Percy Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Clube Recife's Percy Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Robby Woody's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Khalid Kennedy was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Reginaldo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match Micah Macdonald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percy Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. Khalid Kennedy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Lampard in the 46th minute. Robby Woody recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The supporters of Sport Clube Recife booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Kyle Cox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. England's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Clube Recife the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Lampard in the 55th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Robby Woody who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but England's Khalid Kennedy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xavier Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The corner led England's Micah Macdonald to fire away a dangerous shot which Percy Fernandez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Sport Clube Recife's Robby Woody nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. There was no doubt that Sport Clube Recife were the better team. Sport Clube Recife's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
