The supporters of Denmark booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Paolo Caradaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Caradaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ciro Ferdinand hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Atlanta's Şevket Çağa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keld Paulsen. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emil Chwalkiewicz in the 26 minute of the game. 30 minutes in the game, Şevket Çağa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Nevada got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Berdoi. Remigio Erramu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Lars Steen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. Ciro Ferdinand was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 54 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ferdinand. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 59th minute of play. Marcos Berdoi's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Berdoi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Caradaro came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 87th minute, but Pankracy Glogowski got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Club Atlético Atlanta hanging dry this time. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 89th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Denmark for a fine match.
