Ramiro Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sp. Mataderos's goalie prevented a goal. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Lobo in the 8th minute of the match. Leandro Lobo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Aldo Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Salomone in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes, Aldo Salomone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sp. Mataderos and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Sp. Mataderos got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Salomone. After 17 minutes, Anier Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sp. Mataderos and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Denmark booed when Sp. Mataderos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Sp. Mataderos's Leandro Lobo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Danilo Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Denmark's Keld Paulsen got control of the ball when Aldo Salomone tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Salomone came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Faustino Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Danilo Abeitia. Faustino Llin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Llin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. If Aldo Salomone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Llin made a kick off. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Llin in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Lobo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bjarne Kirkegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Denmark fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Keld Paulsen had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Anier Barbosa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bjarne Kirkegaard during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Aldo Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Leandro Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Llin in the 74th minute of play. Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Abeitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 99th minute. The corner ended in Chris Nygaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia did a great save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Denmark eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
