In the 16th minute, Seclantas AFC's Okan Buruk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Balendin having to interfere. Carlos Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Balendin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 30th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Matteo in the 36th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okan Buruk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Buruk in the 38th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seclantas AFC's Carlos Balendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Seclantas AFC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. John-David Lee took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Matteo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Buruk in the 52nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Balendin. That made the score 2-1 after 71 minutes of play. Seclantas AFC's Carlos Balendin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Seclantas AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute of the match, Wim Wilmes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Balendin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Carlos Balendin made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-David Lee in the 80th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Wim Wilmes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Balendin. The goal made the score 2-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Feng Zhou in the 88th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Carlos Balendin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
