An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 24th minute of play forced Het Koffiehuis's goalkeeper Olav Pepeldzhiyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Het Koffiehuis's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Olav Pepeldzhiyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Lars Steen got a free kick in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Pedro Luís Koffidis put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. A nice corner shot did that Dolf Enfant got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Milton Nascimento's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milton Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Het Koffiehuis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Gabriele Koffidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Denmark booed when Het Koffiehuis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Koffidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Het Koffiehuis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. After 87 played minutes Het Koffiehuis got a freekick which was hit by Gabriele Koffidis. Theis Winther hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Koffidis in the 96th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
