An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. In the 46th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Eztebe. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Eztebe having to interfere. In the 55th minute Julien Staffelbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Christoff Stocks made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 65 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. Christoff Stocks kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, David Eikelkamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto Eztebe. David Eikelkamp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 73rd minute of the match. In the last second Roberto Eztebe throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 75 minutes Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Staffelbach came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ.
