Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wilford Shipp took the kick off in the first half of the match. Franklin Willingham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Holub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rudolph Saunders hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Dante Paquette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos Soccer Club's zone, Metod Mlynar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruce Nesbitt came out of the goal and Metod Mlynar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monte Leary to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Oliver Holub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruce Nesbitt came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Slovakia's Oliver Holub. But to his dismay, Oliver Holub quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bruce Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 35th minute of the match. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Bruce Nesbitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. Monte Leary hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Oliver Holub came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Slovakia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Holub couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Metod Mlynar was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henrich Slany didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cosmos Soccer Club's Russ Thorne shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Cyrus Crouch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Bruce Nesbitt managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Slovakia's Metod Mlynar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 67 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Metod Mlynar. Wilford Shipp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrich Slany read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Vít Biskup mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slovakia and the Cosmos Soccer Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vít Biskup kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Cyrus Crouch in the 84th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Henrich Slany's left hand side. Metod Mlynar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Holub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Metod Mlynar during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metod Mlynar to maneuver through the defense.
