Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Zaccheo Andolina started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Roberto Trotta. But to his dismay, Roberto Trotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 13th minute of the match. Danilo Ocampo made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zico Zellier immediately put the ball in play. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as GuateFortín's Zico Zellier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flavio Vittori. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Zaccheo Andolina might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nery Pumpido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaccheo Andolina ran back to his position shaking his head. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Danilo Ocampo, made in the 29th minute of the game. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Ocampo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Danilo Ocampo hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, GuateFortín's Zico Zellier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Angel Alvarenga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zico Zellier to make the kick off. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nery Pumpido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Perrone in the 53rd minute of play. Sigfrido Auletta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nery Pumpido in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Cutri in the 65th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Italy's Sigfrido Auletta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nery Pumpido. That made the score 3-1 after 68 minutes of play. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 73rd minute. Italy's Porziano Marchitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 78th minute of play. When Siricio Liotta came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siricio Liotta couldn't finish the play. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mario Gomez hit a great ball. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siricio Liotta, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
