The supporters of Hungary booed when PERSPOLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Carceles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hungary's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ekialde Nadal 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Herrero in the 26th minute of play. Edgar Badia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Ekialde Nadal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fodor Daniel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. PERSPOLIS made a substitution. Emiliano Quintero replaced Ekialde Nadal. PERSPOLIS's Max Thrane was substituted for Yiyo Esperta. Bela Herrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Max Thrane's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Max Thrane helped the player get up and apologised. Edgar Badia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Antal Valentin. 87 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Edgar Badia. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Feria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on PERSPOLIS's corner Honorio Carceles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, PERSPOLIS could leave the field as winners, despite Hungary having more of the ball for most of the match.
