An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 20th minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Iban Cavada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Clemente Cardozo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Clemente Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the game, Aioros FC's Urtsua Oteo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrinho Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pedrinho Guimarães was a little too slow when Galindo Duarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 34th minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Iban Cavada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Benedito Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iban Cavada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 minutes, Urtsua Oteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aioros FC and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Aioros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtsua Oteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto Dionísio during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Dionísio. Pedrinho Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galindo Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Galindo Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Iban Cavada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Mineiro in the 54th minute of the match. Pedrinho Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urtsua Oteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urtsua Oteo in the 61st minute of play. Iban Cavada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Dionísio came free, but Iban Cavada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castanheiro SC:s Pedrinho Guimarães showed great skill when he stopped Primo Peramato:s penalty. In the 72nd minute Galindo Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aioros FC's Primo Peramato was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 79 minutes, Zacarias Gascon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aioros FC and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger was substituted for Anísio Alagoano. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aioros FC! Clemente Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primo Peramato in the 90th minute of play.
