After 8 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Marc Kronecker. OSMANİYE FK 1996's Nathan Cannavaro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabio Auer but with some difficulty. Fabio Auer was a little too slow when Gürhan Halıcı got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 2-0. Jonas Nalder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gürhan Halıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Fahrettin Ucatekin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabio Auer, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in OSMANİYE FK 1996's zone, Jonas Nalder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Einer Glidal came out of the goal and Jonas Nalder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Gürhan Halıcı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Ahmet Vefik Nasip managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gürhan Halıcı to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gürhan Halıcı managed to get in a good position for a shot. OSMANİYE FK 1996's supporters rose to their feet, but Gürhan Halıcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Auer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Micki Alting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute, Fahrettin Ucatekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gürhan Halıcı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Austria defense, Gürhan Halıcı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. The Austria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Auer should have stopped the shot. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürhan Halıcı in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Gürhan Halıcı left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OSMANİYE FK 1996 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 86 minutes into the match, Micki Alting notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Austria's Fabio Auer. Fabio Auer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emil Seidler charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Seidler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of OSMANİYE FK 1996 booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Seidler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Nalder kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. OSMANİYE FK 1996 fully deserved thier win.
